This magnificent troop epitomises how baboons can live close to human encroachment and still remain wary of people without resorting to raiding … absolutely awesome!
Appreciate your comments here Lynette; what a thrill to be able to observe them and know that they go about their daily lives in relative safety.
Great photos, very action-packed
Thanks. Yes it was a wonderful sighting – observing the action of an archetypal troop on the move. The ‘couples’ moved along sedately, moms’ carrying babies, while the male juveniles goofed around and the sub adults sauntered with a quick bit of hanky-panky in the bushes.
