Well spotted, as i’ve corrupted the word into an Afrikaans diminutive! The animal is of the antelop family and Bontebok is our coastal, fynbos variety; while Blesbok is the highveld species. Derived from Dutch, bont – spots ; bles – blaze. 🙂 Reply
