On a clear but cold day we visited Central Park where the ponds still lay covered in ice. It’s not what I would have thought conducive for wild life sightings but we were amazed at the resident bird species. We were lucky to find Francis Lee Rogers, who gave us some background on the birds wintering over. She feeds the birds during the harshest months supplementing their meagre diet with her special mix.
Some of the best bird pics ever!!! Love the little titmouse best, I think. No wait. Love the woodpecker. No, wait . . .
Wonderful captures, Liz! 🙂
I recognize all those beautiful birds, native to my area too. Thank goodness for their colourful presence in the long white winter. I’m glad you found them “exotic” enough to photograph!
You and your camera charmed the birds out of the trees!
Beautiful photos.
Sweet feathered friends!
Sjoe – beautifull! Love the blue bird.
