Water: a precious resource. It remains a critical issue in having sufficient water to supply the Cape metropolitan area. The dam levels are lower this year in comparison to last’s. We hope the winter rains will be plentiful.

Great photos of movement
Precious element, water. As droughts continue around the planet, hopefully more folks are waking up to this fact. Beautiful photos, Liz.
Yes, there’re critical areas. I’ve been following the photographer, Mustafah Abdulaziz’s work documenting water crises. Scary.
So many take clean, running water for granted and the waste is appalling. Water crises are increasing, yet no one seems to stop over-consuming. Insane, and yes, scary.
So pretty and so valuable as you say. The sound is also somethig I love to hear.

Yes, love the songs that water sings and what about Listz’ Hebridian overture? Very rousing.
Terrific photos and here’s hoping we both get good rains this winter.
Yes, here’s hoping! Seems water rationing is now par for the course most years.
Love that last shot Liz – almost looks like an animal’s fur. Really cool capture.
Great photos. I’m going to try that longer exposure technique next time I’m near a flowing brook. Thanks.
Yes, it’s always interesting to see what results from slow shutter speeds. I like the impressionistic effect.
So true. The last shot is enigmatic.
Thanks Ann Christine.. I was standing above on a platform taking the last photo, and felt strangely drawn to step off and into the flow… the water certainly had a draw to it 🙂
Hi I came across your blog! Love your photos! Have a good day 🙂
