Thanks Sherry. This lizard, or iguana got to be quite a regular visitor. We were aboard a boat alongside a mariner in the Caribbean, and it would catch sight of it’s reflected image. I guess it’s behaviour was about challenging the ‘intruder’? Curious little critter!
Your photography is a real delight 🙂
That’s a nice compliment, thanks Jude!
All are nice. I love #1 and #5
Awesome captures!
Thanks Eliza. Colourful little critters aren’t they!
That fuzzy caterpillar just draws you in, amazing detail!
Thanks, Kat. Yes, that’s one hairy little critter, with a lot of attitude 🙂
Fantastic contributions to this week’s challenge, Liz! The tiny dragon’s my favourite!
Thanks de Wets!

Well done! You’ve certainly succeeded with the “vivid” challenge. I love these.
Thanks Jane – so many zany – looking critters in the insect world 🙂
Really wonderful and gorgeous!
Smile from an other nature (and insect!) lover 🙂
Thanks Noortje, 🙂 will keep an eye out for your posts.
Wonderful captures Liz, I expect the red caterpillar has a bit of a sting to its hair?
Yes, too right, Gilly. These little critters come with a nasty irritant. Handled with great care!
Love the lizard and the mirror.

Wow! These are exceptional! They look like they are ready to crawl out of the screen.
Thanks for your comments! That makes my day 🙂
Wonderful macros Liz – who knew the little devils had so much color!!
Great close-ups displaying the vivid details of nature.
Thanks for your comment, Annette. Isn’t nature full of extraordinary details 🙂
The mantis is my favourite! The razor thin depth of field worked really well here 😀
