Yes, two legs….. and i would love to have seen the spat. A new ‘hunter’ has moved in – a Southern Boubou shrike – a confident insectivorous bird, which ferrets around the nooks and crannies. But the plot thickens as it’s interesting to note that the spider’s prey are geckos and lizards, so i wonder if there may have been tussles between prey and predator. Keep you posted if any other observations come up!
I was thrilled to find this shy critter, living close to the front door under wood slats. Apparently they hunt geckos, small lizards which would be terrific to observe.
Looks like it had a run in with a predator or rival spider, it’s missing a few legs.
