Future: metamorphosis

Mesocelis monticola larva

An active little critter, this is the larval stage of a Mountain White spot moth.  Researching it’s identification, I came across the description –  a “ginger fuzzy-wuzzy”.    It transforms through pupation into a gorgeously couture’d furry moth.

Take a peek at the “Future”  here.

    1. This was one very active little critter with a voracious appetite and incredible athletic ability. It didn’t appear at all fazed by the heat of the day. There was quite an infestation of this species and they formed a very effective mobile munching machine.
