“This week, turn the concrete and familiar into something new and mysterious.” So Ben suggests in a creation of abstract expressionism –
My contribution this week uses intentional camera movement to create abstract form from nature’s palette. Anyone care to guess from which natural object I drew the inspiration?
Beautifully done, it is so cool.
Thanks for the compliment Lena 🙂
Super…
My guess.. The sea and sky
Pretty. I’m guessing a Strelitzia flower?
The movement reminds me of your bike race photos, but it could be flowers and sky?
Love that image of capturing the cyclists – yes all that colour and dynamic speed. Good project for next year 🙂 Here’s the answer – http://wp.me/p1wyZM-1aA
You’re on a streak of gorgeous! While my guess would be the sea, the blur (be it straightforward or through post processing) puts it in the realm of the Strelitzia, so I wouldn’t ‘diss’ any speculation :).
Ain’t it amazing how, through photography (or otherwise), nature’s colours and patterns so frequently mimic each other or replicate themselves?
Good guess, although sea patterns and lateral movement are a favourite, this sequence is – http://wp.me/p1wyZM-1aA
Yes true, those replicating patterns are fascinating, especially that Fibonacci sequence.
Fantastic capture! My guess would be a waterfall. 🙂
Close! http://wp.me/p1wyZM-1aA
I think I was really off! 😦
It makes me think of Edvard Munch the Norwegian painter.
I like the raw emotion of Munch and his use of dark subjects 🙂 This is a lighter though – http://wp.me/p1wyZM-1aA
perhaps a sunset, tipped sideways?
Close, especially with the soft colours of our recent sunsets. I hadn’t thought of using ICM capturing the sky. Now that’s a new project to try. http://wp.me/p1wyZM-1aA
