Too true, those were impressive teeth! Generally i keep well away, but on this occasion i was hiking with a friend along the Platboom beach and the troop was in the vicinity. This sub adult male came to check us out; had to talk very firmly to him to back off as he was interested in my friend’s juice bottle. Fortunately he was distracted by the choice of succulent “greens”.
Thanks your comment Carole. He certainly was ‘engaging’, came over to check us out as we hiked along a coastal path. As a sub-adult male he reminded me of a gangly teenager with a curious disposition and a healthy appetite.

I love how he first eyes his veggies, as if he’s mentally preparing to eat something he’d rather not!
