Hi Rajiv, the eland are the largest of the antelope species here in Southern Africa. The San rock art in the Cedarberg (which is 250 km for Cape Town) is probably around 2000 years old. The San people, also known as Bushmen are the ancient group of people who inhabited Southern Africa going back 150,000 years.
We’re very fortunate to have the Cedarberg quite close to Cape Town – 250 km. it’s like entering another realm, there are many rock art sites – a priceless heritage.
This looks like some old rock painting
Where is the eland native to?
