I guess the heading may well foil Google searches? Its amazing what can be hunted out in the garden for macro shots. Here is an array of the hairy, bristly or just plain smooth. They sure have keen appetites though…..

Yes, i guess we’ve got to look at the whole cycle, thank the moths/butterflies for their pollination services against the voracious appetites of the caterpillars?! 🙂

Yes, i’m intrigued by their gorgeous ‘couture’! But you’re right, there have been aggregations (infestations!) of the Cape Lappet, where they strip down swathes of vegetation, trees.
